Curious...

I did this randomly just because when it comes to doing a prose free write, I would rather type it than hand write it. I must hand write poems though...I need to truly feel the words, move my body with the poem so that all that I am is truly into it. Typing doesn't do what writing it out does. But...would people actually care about what I'm writing? I mean, if I talked about religion, and God, and what it all means to me, would people really want to read it? The rantings of someone who sometimes can't stand "Christians" just like a lot of non-Christians. (*sigh* That...that's another blog...smh) Or the homeless epidemic, or how EVERYONE is getting pregnant, like it's a disease being spread through the air! Or the how all of a sudden everyone is gay, lesbian, not born the right sex...SOOOO MANY THINGS that run through my brain. Will you people truly care, or are you all too wrapped up the newest Jordans and Lil Wayne CD that you don't care about things that truly matter. Lil Wayne won't last...neither will those Jordans. We shall soon see.

Yes, this is just another random post lol. Life is a bit hectic, hard to get my thoughts together. And putting a blog about something focused doesn't just mean me typing away on my laptop until I have a book written on here. I do research. I tend to like to know what I'm talking about. Besides, I have a job (not one I want but...glad to have a job), so I need my beauty sleep.

Intro...

Welcome to the bird cage. Every bit of life, that isn't on facebook ;-), will be here. So...let's get the simple stuff out of the way. No, Ebony Phoenix is NOT my real name, and what is my real name will probably never be important to you. I'm coming to vent, to express...to be the writer that God created me to be. Poetry is the gift, but a little prose is necessary from time to time. Can't always elude to life, sometimes you just have to tell it like it is! I'm 24, college grad (UCONN!!), grown woman (not a female dog, not a child, not a thing), Christian, sarcastic, funny, blah blah blah...you'll get to know me if you're willing to journey through my...interesting mind. Politics, sex, money, race, creed, religion, people, gender...nothing is safe from being talked about. I didn't get a degree for nothing, I don't read books for nothing. God gave me a mind, and I'm going to use it.

Sometimes you just need a place to let everything out, and the times when I don't want to be poetic, I'll just spell it out in plain english here. Might post a poem or two from time to time. Nothing too heavy for the first post...off to literary land, or dream world....whoever sends me an invite first.
